It's been a year....

One year ago today, we moved into our new house in beautiful South Weber. This has been a year full of really strange emotion for me. I was sure that it was time to move on from West Jordan, but I was not prepared for everything that came with it.

We literally sold our house the last weekend it was to be on the market. We had made the prayerful decision to not move to Riverton (which was our initial decision), and to move up here.

I am so grateful for all of the friends in West Jordan that I will cherish the rest of my life they are truely my sisters. But in the last few weeks, as I still struggle to feel completely at home here, I have felt that I need to make more of an effort here. I have worked so hard to somewhat maintain our lives there, that I have not made the most of this year. So...off of my pity party box, and off to work. I know that there is much to be done here, and I have been out of commission long enough!

I remember the fond times I have had this year. A beautiful VERY white Christmas, A New Year full of promise, Luke walking, a baptism, fantastic girls weekend, wonderful new friends, a reconnection with old friends, summer nights, lazy summer days, the beautiful roaring of the jets from Hill Airforce Base (they always give me chills, and a thrilling sense of patriotism), moments of quiet with Aaron, kindergarten shots, a new school year, soccer games where the whole community shows up, and finally the crisp chilly days of fall. I love this time of year.

Hey girl, I'm glad you posted that, you seemed SO at home with Teri and Becky, I thought you'd known them for AGES! I'm glad you shared this. I have a suggestion.....Start by putting togather a girls Park City reunion lunch/dinner/night out maybe? ;) It's hard to let go of the old and move into the new....I still wish I lived in Chicago, and it's been 4 1/2 years....I'm going to take your advice though. Thanks!

Don't totally let go of the old, because that would be me and I don't think I would like that too much. Because it is all about me you know. J/K We miss you but I want you to be happy where you are.
